Links
Here you can find links to various sites that I find usual in my web development, as well as general tools and sites that I frequent and find interesting as a developer.
- I have been a Google fan for quite a while, both as a user and a developer. Many of Google's Webmaster Tools and APIs make it fun to be a web developer these days as well as making it easy to stay on top of all of your sites.
- DevGuru
- http://www.devguru.com
- I've used DevGuru as a quick reference for anything HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for some time now. It's a handy, online reference for those times when you don't have your favorite book handy.
- Apress Books
- http://www.apress.com
- Speaking of books, Apress has quickly become my number one choice in development and technology books. The layouts, authors, and examples have me coming back for more.
- PHP.net
- http://www.php.net
- For anyone doing PHP development, there's no better place to look that right to the source. While it's not a how-to guide, it definitely helps for a quick lookup when something's not working right.
- Joel on Software
- http://www.joelonsoftware.com
- If you enjoy reading about development and technology, not just how to do it, this site's for you (although you probably already know about it). If you read or browse through the book, Joel On Software, you'll be signed up for Joel's newsletter before you finish the book.
- Archive.org
- http://www.archive.org
- This neat little site has the largest saved history of websites all over the Internet, dating back to 1996. You can search for any of your favorite sites, past and present, to see how their look has progressed over the years. I added a small history of the designs for webnelly.com in the Portfolio section, so I thought it was only right to add a link to it.
