Version 1.0 Features

The first Android version of Daily Maui Photo is currently targeted for Phones only, although it was tested on an 8″ tablet and still looked pretty nice.

Plans for the next release will include optimizations for all tablets as well.

Still, this first release offers many of the same features that users of the iOS App have enjoyed for years now:

  • View the most recent photos featured on the Daily Maui Photo website.
  • Mark photos as Favorites and view them later in the Favorites screen.
  • View each photo on a map to explore nearby areas.
  • View details about the photographers featured in the Daily Maui Photo app.
  • Share each photo on Facebook, Twitter, Email, or with the Messaging App.

In addition, you can also submit your own Maui photos at the My Daily Maui Photo website and have them featured in the App as well.

Spread the Aloha

Since it’s still new, the Android App has a ways to go to catch up to the fan base that the iOS version has, so be sure to help spread the Aloha and download the App today and let me know what you think.

Or, if you have Maui fans in your life that are Android users and would enjoy some daily Aloha on their devices, please pass along a link.

And as always, there’s still more to come, so be sure to check back often for more App announcements for both Android and iOS.

Mahalo,
– Kris
